Wow, Becky White, that was pretty cool. I've never, ever commented on a blog site so this is cool as well. I admire your forthrightness as you admit to having pity party for one. Truth be told, I get caught up in that every once in awhile too! It can be lonely out there and I start feeling like no one is listening and no one cares but then I remember who my real best friend is. That ever steady, ever present, never failing partner in life. God really does want want so much for us - we just get caught up in stuff like apple pie and work schedules. Although I am a sucker for sweet treats like that too!
Becky, I appreciated seeing you and the boys at Senior Breakfast for which I was speaking and singing. I know the honesty you speak of and the importance of looking at things from different perspectives. I can only say that I neither blame God nor expect Him to remove the disease I am facing. I find peace in praying for his will and asking him to teach me to accept what I cannot change, but to grow closer to him in spite of the trials.
You have always exemplified those priniciples for others. I appreciate your writing and the encouragement you have been to my family. You have faced so much and done so with grace and character that speaks so loudly to the lives of other people. Keep writing your blog. In Christ, Dan
